Orion is a very special sculpture. Orion is looking up smiling at the stars which represent his loved ones that have moved on from this life. He holds a star in his hand which symbolizes how we hold our loved ones in our hearts. The stars are falling on him and a galaxy appears on his back. The design on his back represents his spirit and on his feet are designs representing his journey. We all walk a journey in the this life.
During the creation of Orion I lost a very dear friend of mine and I sat on my studio floor weeping as I sculpted Orion, so this has become my most heart-felt sculpture.
